Corporate Overview
KOPERASI JAYADIRI MALAYSIA BERHAD (KOJADI) was established on March 12, 1981. The primary objective is to provide an effective educational loan facility to needy students pursuing higher education, and secondly, to nurture human resources into well-trained manpower for the Malaysian community and the nation.
The idea of forming KOJADI was initiated in the 1970s when many students were unable to further their studies due to the limited number of places in various local universities. Additionally, the quota system practiced by the universities intensified competition for entry. This situation left students with no alternatives but to turn to overseas universities. However, pursuing studies abroad was an expensive option that the less privileged could ill afford. Without a study loan, capable students from poor family backgrounds would never be able to fulfill their aspirations and dreams.
Many such students have seen their dreams of a university education come true with financial assistance from KOJADI. Currently, KOJADI has a membership of about 59,000 with total assets well over RM330 million. Since the launch of its first scheme, the Higher Education Loan Scheme in 1981, KOJADI has granted over RM280 million in study loans to more than 12,300 students for their studies locally and abroad. To date, approximately 11,000 students have graduated from their respective educational pursuits and are gainfully employed in various fields, contributing to nation-building.
